Come and stay in one of our charming self-catering country cottages beside the River Exe, in the heart of Exmoor, where Devon meets Somerset! Riscombe Farm is 1.5 miles (2.5 km) from the attractive village of Exford, which has two good pubs, a general store, a Post Office/off licence and tea rooms.

A great base for your holiday exploring some of the most beautiful coast and countryside in England's West Country.

Directions from the east: We are about 45 minutes drive from the M5 junction 25 at Taunton. Follow the A358 (signs to Minehead) and approx. 5 miles from Taunton turn left under a railway bridge onto the B3224 (Raleghs Cross, Wheddon Cross, Exmoor). After approximately 9 miles, 0.5 mile after Raleghs Cross Inn, fork right at a church (sign to Wheddon Cross, B3224). Continue to Exford. Leave Exford on the B3224 towards Simonsbath, but turn right at crossroads (White Cross) after 1 mile. Proceed down lane and Riscombe Farm is at the bottom of the hill on a sharp left bend.

Please note: If you are using a car navigation system (e.g. Tom Tom) then it may take you on a much longer route to get here (adding maybe 45 minutes or more). If you are coming from the north or the east then it may take you past M5 junction 25 down to 27 and then from Tiverton back up north to us. This is unecessary. The route described above is fine and more direct!
